William was born on February 14, 1906, in Surry County, NC to James Isham Edmonds and Luceile (Lucy) Adalina (Simpson) Edmonds. Sometime before 1930, they moved to Tunstall, Pittsylvania County, VA, and by 1940 they moved to Burlington, Alamance County, NC. William passed away on July 24, 1998, in Burlington. Lela passed away on May 6, 2001, in Burlington. Both were buried at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington.
