    Biography Lela Adaline Parker was born on April 30, 1905, in Surry County, North Carolina, to Harden Lee Parker and Nancy Lula (Doby) Parker. She lived with her parents in Surry County until her marriage to Rufus Sidney Pratt on November 5, 1925, in Rockford Township, Surry County. Rufus was born on April 20, 1905 in Surry County, to Johh William Pratt and Sarah Frances (Denny) Pratt. Sometime before the 1940 Census, Lela and Rufus relocated to the Clarksville Township of Davie County, NC. Lela passed away on January 17, 1973, in Mocksville, Davie County, NC. Rufus passed away on December 14, 1944, in Mocksville. Both were buried at Courtney Baptist Church Cemetery in Yadkinville, Yadkin County, NC.
